Neem (Azadirachta indica) is a drought-resistant tree in the mahogany family. Native to India, it enjoys growing in sub-arid to sub-humid regions, and can reach heights of 15–20 meters (49–66 ft). Other names include nimtree, Indian lilac and holy tree.

Neem has been used medicinally in India for over two millennia. Traditionally all parts were used, including the leaves, twigs, roots, bark, and oil from the nuts. In Ayurveda, neem is popular for skin issues like eczema and psoriasis.

Neem may display anti-inflammatory, antiviral, antibacterial, anti fungal and antiparasitic effects, and has a high concentration of antioxidants.

It has an extensive history of use in internal and external medicinal applications, but is most commonly used to:
